Our iconic Ciderhouse was completed in 2006 and in Our iconic Ciderhouse was completed in 2006 and inspired by the boarding school attended by our founder, Kristen when she was a teenager. Modelled specifically after the dining hall with its soaring ceilings, chandeliers and long harvest tables where memories and friendships were made.

It was designed to make cider in the back and sell cider in the front. Much of the building was constructed from timber from the farm. When construction began a portable lumber mill was brought from Sooke, and the forest was thinned of trees that needed to be removed. The doors, ceiling beams, and large tables came from the property. It is a mixture of fir, alder, hemlock, and cedar. Learn more through the link in bio.

We're still working through our harvest haul and p We're still working through our harvest haul and pressing apples. It's always shocking just how quickly harvest season flies by. Just a few weeks ago every bin in sight was overflowing with organic heirloom apples.

We are a certified organic farm (in compliance with National Organic Standards through Pacific Agricultural Certification (PACs), a non-profit BC based organization.) Being a certified organic farm and ciderhouse, we must use preventative maintenance to protect the trees from disease. Our orchard manager maintains the health of our trees by encouraging and nourishing soil biodiversity and using compost. The soil in our orchard is the “best of both worlds” – first few feet are glacial till (good soil drainage), with a clay pan below (excellent for holding water and nutrient retention).

#RaiseAGlass of organic farm crafted cider!
Because you loved it so much, we made some more Sa Because you loved it so much, we made some more Sassamanash to get you through the Holidays! Sassamanash combines the best British Columbia grown apples with the finest BC cranberries and hibiscus flowers. We soak our cranberries and hibiscus flowers in spirits sourced from Vancouver Island, allowing them to steep for up to a year. Once we deem the flavours, aromas and colour to be sufficiently extracted, we press these blends with our wooden basket press then add these crimson bitters to our farm-crafted cider just before bottling. The result: a beautiful light rose coloured cider with a bright, balanced acidity that is drenched in autumn sweetness. As a cider in our Canadian Invasion Series proceeds helps combat invasive plants.

All hail the return of Wassail! Wassail is a winte All hail the return of Wassail! Wassail is a winter “warming” cider; in other words, rich in flavour, deep in colour, and high in alcohol to warm the soul and befitting of a winter wassailing celebration. We follow the Anglo-saxon method of creating a spiced cider for the wassailing tradition by preparing cinnamon, clove and orange peel bitters that we age in oak barrels then blend into a cider we have pressed and fermented from the best of British Columbia apples.

Happy Friday! Who else is feeling some Rumrunner t Happy Friday! Who else is feeling some Rumrunner to warm up with this weekend? Rumrunner is one of our award winning barrel aged ciders and if you haven't already guessed it - it's perfect for those rum lovers in your life. 💕 This is a cider that we're certain Captain Jack Sparrow would approve of!

Crafted with home-grown heritage apples, Rumrunner’s apples are hand-pressed using our traditional rack and cloth press, slowly fermented with Champagne yeast, then aged in rum-soaked bourbon barrels. Aromas of brown sugar and rum show the complexity of this semi-dry sparkling cider. Delicious cold, or mulled and heated with butter, Rumrunner pairs well with steak, Caribbean and Moroccan food.

Bittersweet is back and we're so glad it's here ju Bittersweet is back and we're so glad it's here just in time for Thanksgiving!
.
Bittersweet apples are the backbone of traditional English cider and are some of the rarest apples in Canada. We grow several of these prized varietals, which can be heartbreaking to grow, yet produce some of the world’s finest cider. Our Bittersweet cider is an off-dry sparkler expressing the classic phenolic character of this coveted fruit. As an estate cider, Bittersweet is made entirely with apples from our organic orchard on Mt. St. Michael Road.
