COMMUNITY APPLES – 2025 SEASON at capacity

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our neighbours, the 2025 Community Apples program has reached full capacity as of September 25, 2025.

Together, we welcomed over 30,000 lbs of locally grown apples this season! Your contributions help us craft our Kings & Spies cider and celebrate the bounty of our community.

We’ll share updates about the 2026 drop-off season here on this page and on our social media channels. Until then, thank you for helping us keep the tradition of community-sourced apples alive and thriving.

Please email leif@seacider.ca with any questions.

Calling all local growers, backyard farmers & apple foragers!

Sea Cider welcomes apple deliveries from local growers if they’re grown with care. As many folks know, our Kings & Spies cider is the delicious result of our crowd-sourced fruit program and a tribute to the apple heritage of our region. It’s made from local apples foraged from apple trees and heritage orchards all over Victoria. Whether you have only one lonely apple tree or many, your apples may be suitable for our ciders.

A few conditions…
Although we can use ugly apples to make cider, we do require a certain level of quality to accept the fruit. Any fruit with rot, unhealed wounds or significant bruising will not be accepted. If you are a certified organic grower, we’ll need a current copy of your certificate. If you are not a certified organic grower but grow your apples without the use of chemicals, we would still love to hear from you.

Apple growers may choose between payment in bottles of cider and/or gift card, issued at the time of apple drop off. We will also purchase apples at a ‘community rate’ for larger orders under <1000 lbs. For orders over 1000lbs, please email leif@seacider.ca to arrange drop-off.

Our 2025 drop-off season will be announced via our website and social media.

Sadly, we do not have the person-power to pick your apples or pick-up apples
