Come celebrate May Day at Sea Cider!

This year we will be celebrating the new life in our orchard and a prosperous cider season ahead. Details to be announced soon, but expect everything from Spring-inspired food by our exclusive catering partners Truffles CateringFood For Thought Catering, and The London Chef, dancing and a may pole, children’s activities, a complimentary glass of cider or sparkling apple juice upon arrival, and much more to be revealed soon! Bring the whole family, raise a glass, and say a fond farewell to cold weather!

Happy New Year from Sea Cider!

We hope you all had a delightful Christmas, and are revelling in consuming leftovers while you sip cider and look forward to the new year! We here at the farm are looking forward to a great deal of exciting things, such as the continual production of our ever-improving and delicious ciders, a healthy 2014 apple harvesr from our orchard, new retail products in the tasting room, and of course, the coming 2014 wedding season! We were thrilled to see 2013′s couple Anjali and Alex featured on the cover along with a feature in Real Weddings magazine. Check out the stunning photos on our Facebook Page.

Excitement is building! Join us at our Winter Wassail and you will be entered for a chance to WIN our draw prize! A Cider Tasting Package that includes overnight accommodation for two at the beautiful The Sidney Pier Hotel & Spa!

We invite everyone to take part in our traditional Wassail ceremony at 2 pm, as well as guided tours throughout the day. Tours of our orchard & Ciderhouse will be conducted by our owner Kristen Jordan every hour, on the half hour starting at 11:30 am.

The Quicksbottom Morris will be performing a traditional Mummers Play that includes carols and Wassail.  The Island Thyme Morris will perform a traditional English Sword Dance. The entertainment will be every hour on the hour starting at 12 noon, 1, 2 and 3 pm.

Everyone will receive a complimentary warm cocktail on arrival, (non-alcoholic options too!) and our award-winning ciders will be available for sampling.

Come hungry! We’ll have an opportunity to sample delicious food items from our preferred Caterers: Truffles Catering and Food For Thought Catering and our friends from Wannawafle will be here serving up Wassail Waffles!

Shawn Soole and his team from Little Jumbo will be in the house leading Cider Cocktail demonstrations too!

We will have a fun and farmed themed photo booth set-up by Trend Décor! BYOC – Bring your own camera and have loads of fun in our farmhouse setting. Tag your pics on Instagram for a chance to win a gift basket! Darshan Photography will also be here taking pics throughout the day (official photographers).

NOTE: Please remember to dress for the elements/dress warmly as portions of the tour and entertainment will be outdoors.

    Sea Cider will be paired with two of the courses.

    All proceeds from the event will go to Mason Street City Farm, a 1/4-acre market garden in the heart of downtown Victoria. The farm is raising funds to make its aquaponics greenhouse truly sustainable with a solar electric power system, and continue a paid internship program to train Victoria residents to start their own urban agriculture businesses.

    Enjoy beer and wine pairings with each course. Wear your muck boots with your fancy pants, and prepare to be inspired and satisfied!

Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse celebrates Apple Day with an open house on Sunday, September 29th, 2013,

You’re invited . . . The apple harvest is upon us and we are celebrating with ‘Apple Day,’ and an open house on Sunday, September 29th.  Join us at Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse for this family event and experience the beauty of our orchard and the apples at harvest time. With free entry, guests are invited to explore the orchard and learn about cider making, with guided tours on the hour, hosted by owner Kristen Jordan. We’ll have lots of fun family activities: A Scavenger Hunt, Apple Bobbing, Apple Decorating, an Apple Pie Contest & more!

Complimentary glasses of sparkling cider will be offered on arrival, as well as glasses of non-alcoholic sparkling apple juice and our catering partners Truffles Catering and Food For Thought Catering will be providing apple inspired food items paired with Sea Cider’s line-up of award winning ciders. Tickets for food items and additional cider samples can be purchased at the event.  We are excited to provide an opportunity to taste our newest cider release at the event – A Canadian first: Hopped Cider!

The Sweet Lowdown will be in the house! The HCP will host the 19th annual Arts and Music event this August.

Come raise a glass and plan to join us August 10th and 11th at the Horticultural Centre of the Pacific for art, music, antique autos and landart displays.

  • Over 60 artists will display their artwork and meet visitors
  • A gallery will display the works of 12 emerging artists
  • Live music will play throughout the Gardens

180+ Artists | Moss St. from Fort to Dallas

Vancouver Island’s largest outdoor visual art event, the TD Art Gallery Paint-In is celebrating its 26th year!

The Paint-In is a community outreach initiative featuring 180+ invited professional and emerging artists from Victoria and surrounding areas. Artists take their studios to the street to display and produce their work on Moss Street between Fort Street and Dallas Road. The Paint-In is a free and fun-filled community-based art awareness and education event that sees up to 35,000 visitors.

This event allows local artists access to a receptive audience and encourages an appreciation of the arts among visitors. Over 200 volunteers and participating artists dedicate at least 4,000 hours to make this exceptional annual community event possible!

Sea Cider Farm & Ciderhouse celebrates spring with a traditional May Day event on Sunday, May 5th. Open to the public, May Day will feature the Quicksbottom Morris and Island Thyme Morris dancers, and a complimentary glass of cider, including a non-alcoholic option. Bring the whole family to this wonderful celebration—including tours with owner Kristen Jordan, delectable nibbles from catering partners Truffles Catering and Food For Thought Catering, live music by The Sweet Lowdown, and a festive thank you to the sun for the season ahead.
